A quick Thursday morning update...

We have reach an important milestone in our efforts: enough money has been raised to engage and retain the attorney we are working with on behalf of Foss. Just over 40 people in the last few days helped us get to this point. Thank you all so much.

Now we begin the big climb of fundraising for tuition payments and legal fees. Thanks everyone. More updates soon.

I suspect we will be saying these words many, many times over the coming months, but "thank you" to all of the people who have contributed to Foss's fundraiser thus far.

Many people have contributed with their precious dollars but equally as important as we start this process, so many have helped by spreading the word for us on Facebook and Twitter. Quite honestly, there are moments when asking for money is not the most comfortable thing in the world to do, so having those around us reach others on our behalf lightens that load a bit. Using the tools on our YouCaring page to promote our cause helps tremendously. We also set up a Facebook page for our initiative here.

I wanted to say a special "thank you" to "an anonymous donor". While it is so gratifying to see the names of our friends and contributors appear on the "Supporters" tab, we understand that many people prefer to participate in their own way. We are no less grateful for your kindness and want to make sure that no one feels as though they need to stay anonymous because of the amount they give. There is no such thing as "too little" or "too much" and we appreciate it all. We know firsthand how tight money can be at times and the fact that anyone would have the selflessness to give our family anything is more than we could ever ask for.

We are very close to a very important first milestone in our fundraising: We will very shortly have enough funds raised to retain the attorney we need to start the legal process on Foss's behalf. We will post another update when we get there!

Thanks,

Larry
